Ofwat has announced a £2.7 billion draft water company investment package to help the environment.

For the Westcountry, this will see South West Water investing £81.042 million to deliver five schemes.

We are pleased to be part of the solution in promoting a green recovery and will be assisting South West Water in delivering their catchment management schemes.

This will see us extending our work with farmers to manage nutrients, sediments and water across the landscape so the water leaving our land is slow and clean rather than quick and dirty.

Not only does this benefit agriculture by keeping resources in the field, crop, and cow but it builds catchment resilience, reducing incidents of flooding and drought as well as improving water quality for both us and the wildlife that live in our streams and rivers.

The Ofwat draft decisions are open for consultation to 9 June.
