🔎 Westcountry Rivers Trust has been running a water quality monitoring citizen science programme for ten years, thanks to the dedication of hundreds of volunteers. We believe that datasets like this should follow FAIR Principles, for the greatest potential benefit to rivers and people, and so we’ve now made this landmark dataset openly accessible.
🧪 The dataset currently holds over 30,000 surveys, from more than 1,000 volunteers, at nearly 3,000 locations! It contains a range of quantitative and semi-quantitative water quality variables, as well as qualitative observations.
📊 The data are available (on a non-commercial basis) in a range of formats via ArcGIS Online for environmental professionals, researchers, and students, and anyone interested in developing insights from large environmental datasets.
