Working together and sharing information forms the basis of the Catchment Based Approach. By working in partnership, sharing ideas and making data & evidence freely accessible, we are able to work more efficiently and achieve greater aims.
The CaBA Evidence Sharing platform is a trial of two platforms designed to facilitate information sharing within the Environment Agency and between EA and CaBA partnerships. Outputs will include development of protocols, recommendations and guidance for facilitating community groups to more effectively input to River Basin Management Planning and sharing of near real-time field work and monitoring plans to enable better coordination between CaBA partners. A two – way data sharing agreement sets out principles to guide information sharing for both sides, sets out a license for CaBA partners to share their data with others, and also provides guidance for EA staff on which datasets are governed by different licensing agreements.
