Giving Tuesday

This global event began in 2012 and has gone on to inspire people worldwide to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.

This year, on Giving Tuesday, we are asking you to help us out in a way that suits you.

That could be with your time, an affordable donation or even a sustainable purchase.

Volunteering

Our volunteers are doing a tremendous job of gathering the data we need to inform our work. It helps us to understand where the biggest pressures on our freshwater habitats are coming from in the region, and determine how and where we could step in.

Watch our Westcountry Citizen Science film to find out if taking part could be for you. Giving your time is priceless, and hugely appreciated by our charity.

You can register to take part at wrt.org.uk/westcountry-csi

Give as You Live

This Giving Tuesday, if you are making any online purchases, you could sign-up for free with Give as You Live and support our charity as you shop.

They have 6000+ stores to choose from. This includes High Street names and independents, plus hundreds of ethical retailers via its Ethical Superstore options.

But it’s not all about shopping – you could set up a regular donation or check our the five top tips below.

Sustainable Fashion

One way to invest in new clothes that are good for your conscience and our planet is with our sustainable range.

All our items at our Teemill store are made within a circular system – you can even send them back when they are worn out to be reused.

Thank you

Supporters like you help us make changes for the better every day.

Unrestricted funds provide us with the freedom to support our educational activities, our citizen science scheme, on-site interventions, and the vital core costs all charities need to cover to keep things running.

If you can afford to, please consider making a regular or one-off donation, buying a sustainable fashion item, purchasing a super storybook, or volunteering your time this #GivingTuesday.

We appreciate all you can do for the Westcountry’s freshwater environments.
