The £30.9 million St Austell Bay Resilient Regeneration (StARR) flood defence scheme has picked up an accolade at the Institution of Civil Engineering (ICE) South West Civil Engineering Awards 2024.
The flood defence scheme, in which Westcountry Rivers Trust delivered work within the upper catchment and on the Lower Molinnis, protects homes and businesses in Par and St Blazey.
The StARR scheme received the award for the best re-engineered project over £10-million.
