Dartmoor’s temperate woodlands with their understory of lichens, mosses and shrubs are one of the wonders of Dartmoor. Join us at the Fingle Bridge Inn, located in a beautiful woodland setting, to hear a range of talks exploring how these temperate woodlands evolved, what steps are taken to conserve them and what the future is for these climate sensitive wooded landscapes.

Ralph Fyfe of Plymouth University whose research is connected with past environmental change.
Woodland Trust The Woodland Trust and the National Trust have joined forces on Dartmoor and are involved in largescale preservation and protection of some of Dartmoor’s temperate woodlands.
Moor Trees are on a mission to restore native woodland on Dartmoor and we will hear about their work.
